Thanks for seein' about a girl, friend. here's where I'm writing my own history—for you, for me and anyone else who needs to laugh to keep from cryin' every once in awhile.

Day 30.

Day 30.

And on the final day of this fun, fabulous music challenge I share a song that reminds me of myself.

There is no life I know to compare with pure imagination.

Comin' up on that 20-year high school reunion year and I think about our class poem, "The Road Less Traveled," and how right mother Maya was when she put pen to paper in Wouldn't Take Nothing For My Journey Now.

And I am so grateful.

Being intentional about my gratitude practice completely transformed me—and continues to do so. It helps me every time I feel an "I wish I had/could..." coming on; just as I begin comparing myself to someone I ain't got no business; when I question whether I've done or am enough.

It's taught me to value my resourcefulness, and it's shown me resilience each time I've looked in the mirror.

For the longest time, "To thine own self be true" has been the phrase I've used when faced with big decisions and little ones. I'm not saying I've always made or continue to make the best choices because I haven't, but I'm grateful I can claim them all as my own. It keeps me curious about this thing called living, and despite all my real world constraints, it keeps me thinking and feeling pretty damn free.

If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanna change the world?
There's nothing to it

There is no life I know
To compare with pure imagination
Living there, you'll be free
If you truly wish to be.
